Regrowing Beautiful Petals

Regrowing Beautiful Petals

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.this one didn't hurt, it felt warm this time.

"

folly is something like a compass.

if you can remember where you've been.

truly re-finding is more,

despite all the folly, direction.

it's all really something pretty.

not very important,

on it's own.

but very dear.

the found,

among your lost.

that is something.

and if you try so very hard,

(enough)

gently sifting through the dead,

it's hard to forget it.

if you're true

to what you meant

it'll be what you've found

(your "u sta be")

again...

thing's best remembered

in spite of comfort.... the forever,

and ever.

(the origin of you)

you can be the one growing.

(...omitted...)

From the dead.

Like a seedling,

into a flower,

in a bed.

of dirt

No matter who cares...

You are here, and you are blooming.

From s**t, recomposed,

Into the world.

You are beauty,

Again.

No matter who cares...

Grow your world.

Wow. I am blown away. As Lacey Sturm sings, "I have nothing left but I keep pouring out like I am endless." Your words are beautiful and deeply felt. Superb.
