Rinsing the Sponge

Rinsing the Sponge

A Poem by Davidgeo

The real release cleans

The holding

Part of all your dreams

Left unmet

Remembered

In disappointment

You will find all that you lack

Until the next time

Under expectation

Your thoughts go unmet

And the pain that it brings

Until the new release of your dreams

Where is the line between dreams and reality? Can definitely be confusing . . . Do we put the line? Is the line already there?
Thanks for sharing, surely gave me some things to think about

Nicely written. I like how you left the word disappointment floating in the middle; a nice reminder that sometimes dreams are better than reality.

Thanks... that was the intent of that word placement. Good eye.
I figure you are trying to say how confusing dreams can be. Nice writing.

Dreams, reality... it's pretty f*****g confusing.
Amazing poetry ! Makes you think in depth about what it really means? And what the poem is supposed to make you feel?

You finished with a question mark. Are you asking a question or are you just being Australian?
