Cupid and Craftsmen

Cupid and Craftsmen

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

my consort, my wife

born from castration

by cronos unto uranus

then thrown to the seas

what rises from aphros

they call her aphrodite

the greek

or the she venus of rome

from aphros

the foam of the sea

so lovely so lovely too lovely

a cause of great rivalry

by merely existing

so zuess married her ugly

to a great craftsmen

hephaestus, his name

named

for a consort of opposites

goes the lady of cyprus

with the god of all blacksmiths

hammer and anvil

beauty and cupid

clearly an open relationship

"cupid and psyche"

only the lucky find in one

the entire human race

There's a melodic quality to this beautifully crafted. Kudos for the video I'm quite taken with Tori Amos. R xo
