Estuary

Estuary

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

it's easy in the estuary

lost among changing flows

between the sea and the river waters

blending fixed among lost parts

combining to become found things

water, sir salt and the dame fresh flow

a secret pact between two rivals

between old and new waters

exchanging picked up things

with strangers then forgotten

repurposed for new roles

for different goals

beyond the ancient

beyond the estuary

into the open ocean

into open water

and other places

between seasons

over dry land

between transitional species

between tyrants rule, between benevolence

back into fools, ripe for more tyrannical rules

trying to calm the estuary

the changing currents of the estuary

clear water becomes cloudy

light becomes heavy

between revolutions

in front of death

and all great transitions

all great transitions

some are easier

before they are not

and any calm that you feel

it's simply postponement

lies we tell to ourselves

for us, the worst that will happen

will be the worst thing that can happen

because everyone dies deconstructed

way before the end

in the estuary

so i guess i lied

it's never really easy in the estuary

Confluence. It brings. Things arrive. Things are carried. Inevitably.
Yet confluence melds and throws together.
Without confluence there would be no complexity. No complexity, no compounding, no life.
Confluence. EH?

Skilled presentation, nicely placed wording. Often not seen or thought on by mundane brains. Bravo!

You're a very abstract thinker aren't you?

Thanks for reading my word cabbage.
