Habitually

Habitually

A Poem by Davidgeo

Goals are fantasy, part of a dream life

Achievement's what's left of a dead time

Desires and denials are all that define life

(i think)

Lives unfold at the same speed, dreaming time

Imagining exotics from contemporary lives

Contemporary wishes trapped within exotic times

Trophies and people collected through time over life

Monuments and remnants of shinier times

Even sedentary masters nearing the end time of life

Still wants their fantasy, setting goals for more life at all times

It's life that's the ultimate of all the habitual

Sweet, sweet addictions

It's sobriety that kills you

A real fantasy ender

It's f*****g bullshit

It's f*****g time

It's f*****g habitual

(it's what we know)

Is it bad to not have goals I wonder? Life is a bit busy at times it seems like the only goal is getting through another day.

Goals used to be like bookmarks to me, now they are just ice breakers and things to talk about.
