Way Down in the ValleyA Poem by Davidgeo.Way down in the valley... never leave it With all the drunken peasants, Drunk on, whatever; relevance, freedom, dumb-assery There is always one among the many One whom always feels a need to tell the world Their stance on this or that, The morality that you, her, him, and I should all have... from way down in the valley always from way down in the valley Petrified of accepting anything else... everyone else is an interloper. Content in the bush leagues, deep down in the valley, Some have have no intention of leaving... better to be a fake someone than a real no one Content to be drunk off drunken peasants their compliments, those idiot suggestions... Perfectly compliant with your views, your "evaluations" Amenable to all your complaints f*****g herd morality begging to be lorded over a service some happily provide Way down in the valley It's where some like it them folks are kept down there, by each other like pets keeping pets Where you find the best hug box, The best b***h box, A stage where they feign relevance; where they pretend their profundity, and print their 3 dollar bills. Way down, Moralizing from weak pedestals, Feigning authority way down in the valley Still miles beneath me next drinks on me You can tell me how I am now, years behind you Miles ahead of you © 2016 Davidgeo |
