There Are Very Old Words Here

There Are Very Old Words Here

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.mon cher. i hope ur sterile.

"

There are very old words here

to be read at our leisure;

as friends, as enemies;

either way in print -

we come together.

There are very old words here...

to be read together,

understood in common -

shared. mutual, in a word-

sacred;

an ancient thing we practice

here, together

upon the others

already dead and crossed...

and the living

misunderstood, abandoned...

sifting through what's left

gaining

the promise for more

does the reaching....

until we can't,

until we die.

I hope you're sterile and your baby gets run over by a tractor trailer.
