Subterfuge and Strategy

Subterfuge and Strategy

A Poem by Davidgeo

I have been Rasputin

Napoleon

Ceasar even Marc Antony

Ambitious and dark

Uncompromising

Self assured without stilts

Some magic from a devil

With a warlord's artillery

And an eloquence of word

A touch of subterfuge

And battle strategy

What gives you reason?

Spiteful and wrathful

Hidden in the corners of your moon

Why shouldn't I?

Force your dark into my light

I will show you a warlord

Artillery

Subterfuge and strategy

Without stilts

And very little regret

Instantaneous without training wheels

I am a plague of refinement

I'll give you reason

For you and your

Hateful and hidden

The part of you that lives for me

Nature's subterfuge

Nature's strategy

Force your dark into my light..damn that's briliant. This whole thing is.

I really think this is an interesting poem as it shows what seems to be the opposite side of a story where we don't often see the dark side of a character. I don't know if this helps or makes sense but overall I think that this is quite a interesting poem as it is a dark tone that doesn't often reflect a good guys point of view. Instead it shows the perspective of what some people may call the antagonist of the good guys.
