In rocky flesh; we are enduring

When people state my America as an empire

I scoff and I snortle, at times even guffaw

What a short term track record?

With a white washed history...

(the flasks breeding contemporaries)

   fantasized conclusions...

　from a praise chorus

(this might be bullshitty)

We sing endlessly; to the death

To make way for a life

In place of the other

(taking to prosper)

We kill to live

Then it reminded me of vampires

And a world without America

From a larger history of samples

Things

Become clearer....

My country is no empire

(tee hee)

But our species remains thick

A continuation of gods

(immortal in the books)

Fools, cowards, liars

(nefarious crooks)

And vampires

(and progress)

Like our mother

Full of endless conflictions

Forgetful

Magnificent

Enduring

Despite countries, despite empires

The natural world is a vampire

Survivors,

Surviving   

To our bitter end

We fake vampires....

What we can only pretend

(that the sun won't be coming)

We are but water

Between rock

To be boiled

Unceremoniously

In a giant red sun

This is super. It makes me wonder. The earth, our nation, work, people... so much life is sucked out of us daily by these things. Stress, pollution, chemicals. So why war? Why?
Our lives are too short as it is. I know there are reasons but they're stupid reasons. Land, religion, wealth.
I'll take the next 30 years on a beach getting drunk and high with Jimmy Buffett. I think he's got it right.

Normally I don't plug my own writing... but by all means, read Red Museum, I always keep it fresh on my list; she's a good work with relevance here today.

I write about hard science inside of relationships. Not necessarily romantic but that's there from time to time (I think we're all w****s to be honest)... fully I do it though, with a different age of pragmatism given the writing (i'm a history chameleon). Though I rarely make sense if your not close to me. (that sounds fuggin creepy, I'm really not trying to be creepy at the moment).
