Trapping Radicals

Trapping Radicals

A Poem by Davidgeo

Often we choose solutions to problems that merely create more problems

Demanding more soluitions to similar smelling problems

It's called living or something like it

Like Animals

Eating free radical laced air

Irrigating flesh with that air

Living is slowly dying

Taking the very air

Away from something else

Trapping radicals

Complicated in networks of fleshy molecules

Trapped in my red mueseum

A willful unplugging

On the way to a powerful vacation

So many great ways to come undone

To unwind while in waiting

Some, for a while, will call it living

Others, after a while, will call it something closer to dying

Very fine solutions as to what to call problems

Can turn the most ancient killing fires

Into the greatest of opportunities

Just ask the Chin dynasty

"Living is slowly dying" or is slowly dying living? Very ominous outlook on the process of life but beautiful all the same. I see this poem as a perspective on life when someone lacks purpose. If we have no purpose or reason to live then we are in fact: "after a while, will call it something closer to dying".
