It's Kabuki Theater

It's Kabuki Theater

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

Minds of a samurai theater

Mr, Ms intangible; and a sweaty essence focused

Deeply. Then skinned and eviscerated

In song with great skill, maybe danced

Artfully perhaps even dangerously; always focused

 Sharply

 Katana natana, blade's truly sharpened

Stinging the very air; the very high pitched of soundings

Glaring bright pure rabbit white

As then the blade is turned

Focusing on ceremony, the meat of a samurai theater

Astounding and beautiful, finely slices apart

The faces of entirety, individually

Filleted but never eaten

Portrayed with great skill

Whole into small parts

Instinct released again and the other

Found then put together

Recombined from small pieces

Whole out of small parts

In the minds on their way home

If that whole's not quite the same

Then that's good Kubuki theater

You should do that again

I found this to be a powerful and very intense piece. Another intriguing theme but very different. The two lines "The faces of entirety, individually
Filleted but never eaten" clearly stand out the most and very well crafted. This is another good write.

So cool! I took a theatre production class and we studied types of theatre performances and kabuki was one of them. Very interesting poem and I enjoyed reading it!

I'll check that out!
Very vivid and intense. I have always found katanas beautiful and fascinating. "Filleted but never eaten" really gripped me. Good job!
