Narcopath

Narcopath

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

Forth and back so on and so forth

Madness masking more madness

When a narcissist cries

Big, fat, salty

Crocodile tears of self love

For you to appreciate their

Sensitivity

Insightful through the most insidious of manipulations

Unaware, blissfully, so blissfully you stay unaware

In an emotional waiting room

Preparing for an appointment

That was never made

Not for you anyway

You're just the vessel

My ride to the store

Paradoxically

To the narcopath

Self love is

Self loathing

Self loathing's

Self love

Those who crave pity

Must first devour all of their own

Then starve at too young an age

From loving themselves

Much too much

Behind a shattered enough stage

A mess at the start

Even cats need learn their own claws

Professional confidence from something

Re-sewn, sutured, glued, reassembled

From pure disaster into smooth alabaster

Sharp at the edges, dangerous

This insightful love of the narcopath

Fierce now unbroken

Statuesque

Whole and all powerful

Distorted fully to experience zero reality

Floating among humans

In irrelevant situations

A deep love shared for the glory

Of one

With the strength

Of one thousand suns

Be careful

Those little emo black holes, ha,

They'll swallow your a*s whole

Well said. Great write and I can totally relate having been on the other side of the Narcissists mental games of hide and seek. Manipulation at the very best. I love the style, it grabs the reader and allows you to feel as you move through the poem. Nice job!

"That's what she said"
Autobiographical my arse. The true narcissist hasn't got a f*****g clue there's anything wrong with them.

Good poem though, much better than most of the simpering shite on this site; cor, f**k me, shite and site, it rhymes, i've gone and done a poem.

You're right though... I'm not full evil. I'm a recovering devil... I have another plan for you.
It's kind of sad the way narcissists operate, also I like this poem. Very gritty and sassy. And I just like it a lot.

Not my style of writing, but at least a different topic from the usual with a vivid scenery of the path... nice descriptions
I read a couple of other writings as well, now I might take that suggestion you made into deeper consideration.

Having a narcissist for a mother, I have been witness to so much of this poem. It reminds me of the song, "One Is The Loneliest Number," and indeed it is. For all the smiles delivered, the shadow never left her face. She has now departed this earth, and I feel a great sadness at heart knowing that she was never, ever happy. Her manipulations garnered her nothing but a temporary reprieve from having to face herself in the mirror. Never liking what she saw, she ran from that reflection straight into the grave. Whenever I encounter people like this, I can't help but feel sorry for them. They are wounded birds who never learned to fly.

Good write. Job done. Just the right amount of bias. One can only really be offended if the shoe fits. Which proves your point anyway...
