I like the quiet, reflective tone of this poem, sort of if the writer accepts that fate will have it's way no matter what.

I'm with the Captain on this one. "We all fear that something that won't come"... nice. I had to get my glasses out for the last few lines but well worth it. One of your better ones for me at least. Thanks for sharing.

In a land on where we journey, life is pretty much the same. We lose something in order to gain something. We might not get what we all want but we achieved something else. Tomorrow might be still dark but still we know somewhere we know that the sunrise is just a few days ahead.
