A Familiar Dying

A Familiar Dying

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

.

"

Watched a pet die in my arms as a boy

She pissed on us, in life, on our clothes on our souls

Still I never cried like that before

Nor since, no, not like that

I remember familiar eyes turning vacant in front of my own

A body growing cold where once it was warm

How hard it was to feel something so strange

Become something so familiar

She still looked alive, but her eyes

They did not move

Anymore

I can relate to this cuz for me he was more like a brother than a pet and yeah I can relate to lot of things you portrayed here, Thank you for sharing. and Thank you for reminding me of those 13 years I spent with him and how I still remember by taking care of his brethren whenever I can . I liked the last three lines the most. Thank you for sharing.

Great description and emotion. Love the sadness behind it. To be honest, I am not much of a pet lover but this writing made me feel sad for the creature that died in your arms. Good job. N.

I like that you get off on attention. Shows how easy it would be to get you to disappear. Hey everyone, just ignore this scuzzball and all his fake profiles, (you know, the ones that pretend to praise his ramblings,) he'll soon crawl back under the rock he came from.

Oh, by the way, read this quick folks, he's bound to delete, cause he can dish it out but can't take it.

I almost never delete reviews. Obviously you are aware of this, you've left dozens for me under you.. read more
How did your pet die then? Probably starved of affection. Oh, and it's something, not somehting. Tut tut! There you go again with that oh so familiar lack of care and attention.

A) crying B) I didn't expect this sort of writing from you C) In awe and love it, In just a few short lines you've summed up that moment so well.

Eveytime I read something you write i'm a little more in awe of you.I knew you weren't a complete dick.
