Bombs Away

Bombs Away

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

We are the sun we own the moon

"

They stand in line with me

Beside me always I'm beside you

There is not a front to this line

Battlefield drawn boxed in the sand

Turn after turn we swim with your hands

I am the one! says every man on

I am the one, bombs away, and away

Do you have my religion?

Do you have what it takes?

To swim with all manner of man

You'll disolve into aether

Changing the minds with a million crimes

God can't even justify me and god still waits

For my apology

But instead, all for him, I keep filling out this eulogy

Of hot shots and dead babies

Shattered lands and broken dreams

Entire generations enslaved at the whim of a shapeless tyrant

    Called ignorance

Called delusion so vile, called ubiqutious

Called denial, called sky kindgom... called deferred life

For my perpetual strife I drown in everything you lack

From a position of power I won't run from you

No man achieved the moon without coming after the sun

And I will be the son of God, of myself I am the one

The one who never runs, we got a religion

Called you aint right

Here comes my Sons motha fuckers!

We burn! WE burn all! we all will... BURN!

It's together mother f****r, that we become the Sun

I went to Africa for President Clinton. Medical and water/food teams to save a few. No-one cared about the dead babies. Today babies dying in Flint. World had never changed. Rich man seeking more wealth and forgetting the enslaved workers working for bare minimum. Hell will be filled with greedy men and foolish leaders. You made your point. A outstanding poem. Need to be posted in more places.

Chuckling here, you got it all sweetcheeks, ain't no rage or frustration here, just a little smirkums of satisfaction that everyone here will soon know all about you and your s****y little games. I've already messaged over fifty writers.

The vivid opening lines take us right into a scene of darkness and conflict, hinting at a reverse evolution that has turned men into insects and civilization into decadence: "We masturbated in the shades of a wasted heritage;/We scorpions in uniform awaiting orders to act." The first thing we learn to situate ourselves is that we are fighting "another man's war". This phrase suggests the soldiers' lack of personal posterior in the mission. It could also be read as "another of Man's wars"—which one, it scarcely matters. As the title suggests, this could be any day, any war; the idea of human progress is a joke. Unfortunately and on many levels, so to, this poem is a joke.

Bombs away is like saying it's the computer, not the operator. Still and all a good effort.

This for me says everything. Greed and the never-ending need to be a God among men. Too many would-be Gods among men and the 'bombs' - whether made of fire and devastation and death or made of words blinding, distracting, stupefying - are loosed. People perish or people zombify.

Great, stupendous portrayal of the reality we seldom visit with our minds. Ignorance ever the excuse. What we don't know can't possibly hurt US right?

I admire your courage. I detest that your courage is needed.
