The One I Adore.

This is just a poem I wrote about a girl obsessing over a guy and him playing games with her heart.

When the world seems bleak

The nights are long and I can hardly sleep

 

There’s nothing I love more than to hear your voice

It was hard to say goodbye, but it was my choice

 

I know there is another that you can love more

Another one you can hold and adore

 

I can not stay here and fight the tears

I am not happy, as it appears

 

I can not fight for you if I’ve already lost

But you’re the one that I want most

 

I will not play these silly games

I will not let my heart go up in flames

 

This time I’m gone for good

I somehow wish you understood

 

That all these years of running around

Now I stand and break down

 

I love you still like I loved you before

But this will never be the fairytale that I had hoped for.
