Grandma <3 R.I.P.

I remember every word,

Every detail from the day

My mom came in my room crying,

She said 'your grandma died today',

 

My hair up in curls,

I calm my tears and get dressed,

I think about my grandma,

Dear god may she be blessed,

 

Her family loved her very much,

Their tears show they agree,

I see my daddy crying,

for the first time since i was three,

 

I see my grandpa down in front,

His hair shines short and gray,

He loved my grandma so much,

Everywhere in everyway,

 

The preacher closes the prayer,

My grandmas face looks so much older,

I squeeze my daddies hand,

And lift my head off his shoulder,

 

I stand up from my seat,

And grab the roses that i brought,

I place them on her grave,

To let her know no one forgot,

 

May the angels see them there,

And spread their wings to fly,

Then swoop down and take my grandma,

To the holy place in the sky,

 

When everyones almost gone,

I go back to my seat,

For me my daddy sits there waiting,

His tear - stained face looks beat,

 

 

and then i whisper to him,

'she loved you very much,

'And she'll watch over you everday',

I kiss his cheek and help him up,

 

the only difference this time,

is when we walk away,

we leave our hearts behind,

because my grandma must stay.
