Animal Abuse

when you are sad they kiss you,

when you are tired they snuggle,

when you are happy they wiggle,

yet when you are mad they suffer,

they wonder what they did wrong,

was it the way they cared for you so?

was it the way all they ever did was think about you and long for you?

was it the way that they comforted you, helped you, maybe even saved you?

and yet all they ever get in return is a kick, or maybe if there lucky they just get shoved in their kennel?

when all they ever wanted was your touch, your feel, your embrace?

or maybe it was the way they depended on you,

was it how you were the only one they had to live for,

and yet all you do is hate and make theyre lifes miserable?

did you ever think about them for once?

fight the urge?

think "what if it was me"?

sure they cant speak, but they can cry.

so they need us. they need us to protect them, and to speak for them, because i know they have plenty to say.  stop animal abuse.

Reminds me of the poem a wrote about animal testing..
I liked it.. As a vegetarian I can only agree. Animals are our friends, and they havent done anything wrong, but still people treat them like s**t...It is so wrong.. And i am happy to see, that i'm not the only on the cafe that cares.
