Pouring Rain

Pouring Rain

A Poem by Ana Nicole<33(:

As the rain is pouring down,

She ignores her stinging eyes,

She knows tears won’t help at all,

Besides a “good” girl never ever cries,

But she can’t forever ignore the tears,

She can’t always run from every fear,

She’s done it all her life,

Now she stands alone here with this knife,

She looks around and no one’s watching,

She could do it anytime,

Here at this familiar place,

That she comes to every night,

She always says she’ll do it,

She can never follow through,

But she’s reached her last straw,

Right now will have to do,

She raises the blade to her neck,

She says her last prayer,

‘May no one ever feel like this,

Living in this nightmare.’

She lets the tears flow over,

In the rain no one can tell,

All the pain she hides inside,

She bows her head farwell,

She squeeze her eyes shut,

And gets ready for the pain,

She bring up her arm to slash,

Then falls to the ground in the rain.
