Shards Of Glass

You always said you loved me,

You always said you cared,

You always had me falling,

Though I was never scared,

 

You always said you could be trusted,

You always said that you’d be there,

You always had me thinking,

To hurt me you wouldn’t dare,

 

And now I sit here crying,

Shards of glass are raining down,

No one but me knows at all,

Of the darkness I have found,

 

I just stay there and I know,

My life will never last,

And then I surrender my life,

To the broken shards of the glass.
