this poem really resonates within me, because my own grandmother used to tell me stories and experiences, many of which I never truly understood until much later.. this poem has a very good flow, and I love the concepts it conveys... your poem is very insightful - i love that about it. thank you so much for sharing the poem... and remember that this poem is proof that your grandmother is not forgotten at all ;) and she would have been so glad and proud that you've dedicated the poem to her... well done :)

An intense write. Once someone has passed, we are the ones who have to tell their story. We have to remember the words they told us. Older family members have seen things we will never see. We can learn so much from them. A heartfelt write. Well written. lydi**

Thank you Lydi for the kind words, I appreciate the time you take to review my writing:)
My great-grandmother definitely is not forgotten. I love her dearly. I know she is still with me and I have things come into my spirit that only she would do or think of. Grandmothers are so important because they really hold the secret to life, or other wise they wouldn't have lived as long as they did. I love the wisdom my great grandmother had. She would say things that would make me laugh, but it resonated true when you got past the humor of what she said.

Yes, grandmothers are truly a blessing...thanks for reading my poem:)
Lovely poem Lisa, I'm glad to know that so many have a Grandmother story. My Grandmother raised me for my first 13 years. I miss her dearly. She was born in 1898.

Thank you Cimmy for the review and the beautiful words for my grandmother:)
A sad and beautiful poem. I understand the poem. I was brought up by kind Grandparent. My Grandmother lived 95 years. The photos of her I hold precious are all I have left of her. Last line is true and sad. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Just look in a nursing home and see all the forgotten people living their last days telling their stories to strangers....I hope this helps:) Thank you for taking the time to read and review:)

This is incredible, it describes the haunting experience of being old and forgotten, yet through their eyes you may still see the young person inside of them. Well done!
My passion from an early age was always reading.... getting lost and transformed into another time or place by words so cleverly placed.... this passion transformed to writing with passion and persona.. more..
