I wrapped my body around...through... and within yours embracing every moment of our tender love Not knowing I'd never again feel the warmth of your body next to mine...
I held you close and gazed into your eyes reading your thoughts and imparting mine Not knowing I'd never again have the chance to tell you how much I love you...
You pulled me close and held me tight whispered, " I love you" in my ear I kissed your lips as we parted Not knowing this would be our final, "good-bye"
This poem was brilliant!
Reading it sent shivers through me...
The use of the repeition "Not knowing..." really impacted me, I found myself thinking about those words (among others :) ) long after reading them.
The ending "Not knowing this would be
our final good-bye" is more than just sad, it's emotional and profound, and I could really relate to it.. Thank you for sharing... this poem is amazing :)
Great write! This piece casts such balanced feelings of longing, and heartbroken reflection. A relatable work for many people, myself included. Excellently done!!
I like the message. It's something we learn as life goes and we lose some people close to us, we never know when the last parting is, and i take nothing for granted. -Tom

This poem can be for so many different people. This can be for military wives who lost their husbands in the war; and not knowing before they left, that kiss, or love making session would be their last together. Being that my husband spent four years in the Navy. I would always pray that that kiss we had before he left wouldn't be my last. This can also go for a couple who is near a break up...

My passion from an early age was always reading.... getting lost and transformed into another time or place by words so cleverly placed.... this passion transformed to writing with passion and persona.. more..
