FearA Poem by Lisa Dlamini
I was infatuated and in the throes of it
she was beautiful and masculine all you could want. We were going to live behind white picket fences and eat strawberries for the rest of our lives or least in my mind. Then he blew in like a gust of wind and all at once the magic I saw in her still there, but my affection no more. And him in her place with eyes as blue as the sea baring into my soul and I love with more fullness than I have ever known. And I am afraid.
