Welcomed Guest

Welcomed Guest

A Poem by LisaButterfly

You have entered
My internal world
And I allowed you to
i have surprised myself
Personal growth is awkward and vast
You said we are in this together
The unknown
PLanning little tiles of grass to rest our feet upo with each new encounter
So we don't step on anything shapr
What if we poke our toes into the spaces between?
There is strength in vulnerability
The parts of me I have kept to myself
That even to me remain a mystery
You have entered
A welcomed guest
Into a space where it is messy
And where clothing needs sorting
Us
Allows me to know
That the walls go up and go down
Hour by hour
I feel that I am ready
Everything I have witnessed has come to this
Looking at you
Has become my favourite passtime
I look into your eyes and I feel they are a soft landing
Where we can build a house, a home
That we share
It's ours
Since I have met you
I have found so much goodness in me
I feel that our love has bolted trhough the bolts around my heart
What I life on your chest I am content
I belong
We are in love
We can dream again
Hope is ours to play around in
Like baby cubs
Your face is my new sun rising
I am so gratefl you are in my life
And I have met you
We are on training wheels
In this life
Sometimes feeling lost and alone
In the bitter cold dark of night
But here
Your body on mine
Your hand in mine
Your eyes and mine
My soul and yours
Like a flower blossoming
From a Winter's forrest
Sunflowers and Sunday mornings
Forever
