Chasing rainbows

I find this Life is an illusion
Chasing love when loves changes
Chasing acceptance when spaces reform
Chasing belonging when homes are torn down and rebuilt
Chasing rainbows when the day passes
Chasing conversations when they twinkle out
Chasing boys to love and be loved
Chasing words which say I like you
Chasing words which say I'm good
I'm realising we must connect deeper
And see that the horizon is no longer there
Accept the light and shadows
Loneliness will visit
Love will come around
But the only thing that will stay is me and Allah swt
