This One's for the FeelersA Poem by LisaButterfly

The one's who can feel there is something not right with this world The sensitive souls Who get boxed into neat packages And called the anxious ones the depression ones This one's for the feelers The one's whose hearts go out to others in need And get labelled too serious Too intense Well what if that was not the case What if we said it was wrong What if the harshness of the world Was labelled anxious What if the cooperates were told to get medication for its fear Fear of empathy Fear of feeling Fear of equality and connection And left the feelers to decide On how to be and express ourselves And allow to be human You know Let's protest is against the labels on the common man And on placing the burden on the most powerful ones Stop labelling us as weak and needing personal development For the human development lies in the boardrooms And on the decision makers This ones for the thinkers Its ok to think outside the square You are beautiful You are perfect just the way you are You are whole in your brokenness Lets look upwards together Lets hold each others grief For in grief lies compassion And if compassion were to be shared It would be able to have the strength to toppled Over the most powerful of structures This one's for the hearts that cry © 2014 LisaButterflyReviews
