Love

I think I've discovered something

fresh, brand new love 

or like... call it what you will

is like being sliced with a very sharp blade

you don't know the cut is there, in fact 

Im sure the lovey dovey endorphins

racing through your body as your heart pounds

and sends them surging, makes sure of that

no, you have no idea its there until something happens

they're gone or they break a promise, something along those lines I suppose

and its like pouring fresh salt into the wound

that you had no idea existed

and then... once you know its there

 you can't forget

its always there

festering

a constant reminder that at any given moment

you could be forced to your knees in agony 

at the hands of your new so called, lover. 

the cut will forever be 

inevitable

inescapable

and delicious

love, my friends

 is the best pain I've ever felt

How beautiful are you to give your friends the sweetest tribute and to allow us to see what that looks like?!! Awesome piece..... I'm jealous that I never felt I met someone who would hold ME in such high regards, and it felt more natural to leave them to the memory of me instead of continuing just enjoying their company!! "Love" always crept up on me like a hard slap on the butt waiting for the bus in line!! lol Having no preparation or ways to manipulate how I react to it in my younger years, mad it so much tougher to let go of!!
