Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith

A Poem by ♥ Courtney ♥

I want to lose myself in the deep green of your eyes and
in the softness of your smile which is easily
more infinite than all the stars in the galaxy.
But, as I stand on the edge of something deeper than
I can begin to fathom, I cant help but feel terrified.
Whispers and echoes from my past remind me that
this could be oh, so completely awful.
Tiny wisps of doubt wrap their tendrils around my subconscious
as I stand on the edge and tremble
until I look into your eyes and remember why I'm here,
And so I leap...

Some people are worth the leap. Taking a risk can have its benefits I've discovered. Well done.

Great writing here, absolutely consumed with love and ready to fall, yet remembering the pain of how love can hurt and backing off, then the ending where love conquers all, "And so I leap..." Outstanding poem that everyone should be easily able to relate too. Nice work. I say LEAP with confidence, and embrace it.

Deep passionate words created here. I really love the last four stanzas. Well written.

I'm happy you can get to have this, with someone who won't botch it, someone who'll catch you. You're an incredible lass, and deserving of that happiness, that fulfillment. This poem captured the sort of sentiment that is common for where you two are at in your relationship. The next step is huge, and the trust going into it immense. But seeing as how you're with someone with whom it'll absolutely work out, leaping into bliss is the only logical choice. Congrats on your romance, and congrats on an amazing poem.
