Lack of faith, collapsing from dissapointment and outside pressure.

Lack of faith, collapsing from dissapointment and outside pressure.

A Poem by lioness
"

A poet friend of mine gave me three topics which I must write about & incorporate together. The three topics: Lack of faith, collapsing from dissapointment, and outside pressure. This is the end result.

"

You, a catholic, worshiper of the beads and prayers, you are failing, falling. Though you memorize the saints, and even favor some more than others, you continue to be less, less than what's expected. You cannot force yourself to believe these things, though your life is devoted to them. The saints are just fools, hoping for salvation; like the drunks, you think. But you need something to believe in, something to keep you going.
And these things that you need, they dissapoint. Because neither I, nor those on the outside, can ever be what you need. So you fall-fall-fall down, collapse, into what you do have.
Instead of ravaging, of discontinuing the torement they love, you wait. Pious and pure, you wait for death, like a proud Baptist or starving saint. You refuse what they may give- because you know that what the may give
would never
be
enough.

About
I prefer to live alone, rather than with a bunch of people. Maybe one other person who doesn't mind pressing themselves against me while I sleep; other than that, it's excess. I put a song on repeat .. more..
