Stupid/Foolish/Crazy

Just a reflection on a breakup. I wrote this a while ago.

How stupid of me to think that You were as kind as you seemed. 

How foolish of me to trust your words and your beautiful eyes.

How crazy of me to believe that we could be forever.

I may be 

Stupid, and I may be

Foolish, and 

Maybe even a little 

Crazy, but At least I’m not 

Selfish, 

Cowardly, 

Lying, 

Lazy, and 

Afraid to face my actions, or

Scared to admit the truth. 

But you are. That I know. 

You left me When we were both 

Down, and we really needed one another to lean on. 

You left me with my 

Shame at ever loving you, needing you, or trusting you- 

With my feelings and my heart. 

I intend to 

Forgive you one day.

I 

Hope that day is soon. 

Because I think that forgiveness may be the only way to heal the 

Hurt inside.

I know the setup is weird, I am mostly looking to see what people think of the overall ideas here. I'm afraid I was a bit too harsh, but this was a very cathartic piece. Thanks for reading.

Not harsh at all, and done without swearing. A good friend of ours uses c* "t every other word to describe her ex, mind you he is being a grade "A" prick. With regards to forgiveness I personally think the sooner the better as all of the angst, anger, resentment can be awfully draining.
