World in one Room

World in one Room

A Poem by Jade

Sitting
music is playing low
half-finished pantings
guitar across the bed
lyrics and thoughts
scribbled down
on the first tangible surface
even the table
it used to be worth money
but now it's worth more.
books strewn about
an overnight bag stuffed with clothes
I'm alone, smiling as I realize
I'm glad you bailed tonight
This is my life.
Not school
Not college
Not my 9 to 5
Not friends
Not family

This.
