In-lightened (A Pantoum)

In-lightened (A Pantoum)

A Poem by Linda Marie Van Tassell

The silence is serenely spinning
in her constellation of thoughts,
plucked from the stream of consciousness.
She gazes into time and space.

In her constellation of thoughts,
she embroiders a pathway home.
She gazes into time and space,
and her heart is overflowing.

She embroiders a pathway home
in the weave of separation;
and her heart is overflowing,
springing into an eternal sky.

In the weave of separation,
she threads the present and the past.
Springing into an eternal sky,
she soars until swallowed by fire.

She threads the present and the past,
speaking the language of the heart.
She soars until swallowed by fire,
immersed in sparks of offering.

Speaking the language of the heart,
she embraces eternity.
Immersed in sparks of offering,
she sees the light awakening.

She embraces eternity
with the soft touch of her mind.
She sees the light awakening
on the fingertips of the dawn.

With the soft touch of her mind,
she spins the clouds into solace.
On the fingertips of the dawn,
she is the alchemy of light.

She spins the clouds into solace.
Deep waters bathe her ancient shore.
She is the alchemy of light
sparked in the silent filigree:

burst in breath from the poet's pen.

First, I'm bemused by the esoteric form term "pantoum," "a series of quatrains with interlaced rhyming. . ."

This exquisite poem illumines your inner sanctum, the devotional offering of your contemplatively beautiful lines.

"She threads the present and the past,/speaking the language of the heart./She soars until swallowed by fire,/immersed in sparks of offering." A subtle fire arises from the previous threads of embroidery.

"She spins the clouds into solace./Deep waters bathe her ancient shore./She is the alchemy of light/
sparked in the silent filigree:/burst in breath from the poet's pen." The poet embraces the loving sanctuary of her own inner being, arising luminously with every breath.

Such solitary soul-divined solace situates one for the further reception of Grace. Your delicately assiduous "In-lightened" brood inspires a depth of non-separate communion with your ineffable sacral essence, seamlessness you wove from illusory separate self sense.

Your words are so perfectly diaphanous I'm left silent. Telepathic. You are the finest flame of my Heart forever.

While searching for your villanelle, I came across this pantoum instead. Inspired by Richard, I have written one pantoum, but nothing like this! This is truly impressive. Your poetry is so delicate and graceful and yet the force of your words is so powerful. I'm truly a fan.
