Wrap Myself In CryA Poem by Linda Marie Van TassellI feel so all alone as I wrap myself in cry.
I can call to you in the morning,
but it doesn't bring you here. I can reach out my arms to hold you, but it doesn't bring you near. I can weep into my pillow, but it only creates a stream. I can close my eyes to see you, but it's only in a dream. I can run across the meadow straight into your heart, but you never come to greet me; and we always stand apart. I can forgive everything when I think on you at night but quickly turn to sadness when I face the morning light. You have drifted like a summer. A snow-beard on the tree. I know you think no longer of ever loving me. I am dreaming of you now as you gently kiss my face. I turn into my sorrow and gentle shades of grace. My naked body weeping with blue sheets of the sky. I feel so all alone as I wrap myself in cry. © 2008 Linda Marie Van TassellReviews
