You Wrap Your World In Mine

You Wrap Your World In Mine

A Poem by Linda Marie Van Tassell

I have heard the sound of a thousand tears
falling on the windows of my soul like rain.
I have felt the loneness which comes with fears
and the hollow ache of grief and pain.
But from the moment I saw your star so bright,
I relished beneath its shine;
and it is endless throughout day and night.
You wrap your world in mine.

And you need not worry as to if I'm cold.
My love, do not worry or think
that another star could ever hold
a bit of your brilliance - not even a blink.
You are my heart and soul's delight,
and every second for you I pine.
I am embraced by your love day and night.
You wrap your world in mine.

I trust the love that God does send,
the love He has given in you.
I know when my life reaches its end,
I'll love you more than I already do.
Your enchanting star, so clear and bright.
It is such a beautiful sign.
It lets me know each darkened night,
you wrap your world in mine.

My God linda what loveliness do I see
i do not anybody will ever see as you do
how sweet, how tender your words are
I have heard the sound of a thousand tears
falling on the windows of my soul like rain.
I have felt the loneness which comes with fears
and the hollow ache of grief and pain.
But from the moment I saw your star so bright,
I relished beneath its shine;

My love, do not worry or think
that another star could ever hold

You are my heart and soul's delight,
and every second for you I pine.
I am embraced by your love day and night.
You wrap your world in mine.
I trust the love that God does send,
the love He has given in you.
You wrap your world in mine..you wrap your world in mine
i could sing those worlds for hours..how sweet how lovely
this is one rare poem i loved so much ,i will never forget for a long time to come
i was really touched by those words..you are a magician, you play with words
they are like gold ,they shine...how lovely

Very beautiful, darlin'. So much of your soul-signature work is as pristine as a drop of roseate blood on silent snow.

And because you favor a rolling rhythm and rhyme, this exquisite poem is redolent of a Leonard Cohen lyric, a touchstone I know we both appreciate and express.

I love this poem, and I love your work and review comments.

Poetry has been my passion since I was about fifteen years old, and I love the structure of rhyme and meter moreso than just randomly throwing words upon a page without any form whatsoever. Whi.. more..
