Incredible...a sublime mix of hearthstone, open skies, and heartbeats.
'Teach me the love that is found in a rose
and written in crimson calligraphy
across the earth, making merry of woes,
in a swirl of fire and epiphany.'
Your touch in this poem beggars description. Where has your work been hiding?
"GULP!"
Soft as a whisper, verses of life, of love's sensual bliss …
as wondrous textures, sensations derived ⁓ through a lover's kiss.
Gosh, Linda Marie … how, almost spiritually, your words wrapped 'round me, flowed across my being, sweeping me into you, into the passionate imagery of your moments, the cadenced flow in word arrangement, rushing of perfect rhymes playing, teasing, having their way … such an enveloping experience carrying me … well, let's say to a place I thoroughly enjoyed.
It's a work so rich in so many aspects of poetical mastery and word-smithing, I could spend all day pontificating and rapt … let me say this, "I loved every nuance, every, thought, feeling, emotion, image, and sensation your words made soar throughout my senses, and I thank you immensely, Linda Marie!" ⁓ Richard
It is an enthralling picture choice and spiritually touching music*

it is always so romantic, a whisper... especially one that "Teach me the love that is found in a rose
and written in crimson calligraphy"... a whisper that breathes warmth on your ear and measures a quickening heart beat... such a whisper, if taught and shared, could be heard in far far away galaxies... so to return a thought you left in one of my poems, the masculine in me find the romantic feminine poetry in your words, they whisper... it's a wonderful poem Linda....
Stunning, wonderful, perfect. (Usually I give a longer review, but these three words sum it up perfectly, so I'll just pad the review out a little by giving this big long explanation about how I don't need to say more and thus say more, pointing out the obvious in the process).
Wonderful L. I'll say it again, you make meter seem so effortless. The matching beats with epiphany and calligraphy are super. How romantic without turning into something lurid and cheap. I'm a fan. CD
The classic feel of your words draws me in - and the images you create holds me there - in beauty. This is one of the best poems I have read on WC in a long time. Stunning, stunning writing.
it sings a symphony i cant explain
lost in a quest of a musical phase
allow me to speak the ballad without seeming broken
teach me though its my me that is unspoken
incredible cant even hold it
truly i am unearthed, by the poets words i come
unfolding
reeling
touched.
Poetry has been my passion since I was about fifteen years old, and I love the structure of rhyme and meter moreso than just randomly throwing words upon a page without any form whatsoever.
