Synchronicity

A Poem by Linda Marie Van Tassell
"

Two complimentary chords plucked from one string.

"

Under the sheet of night, I dreamed of two
complimentary chords plucked from one string,
different and yet connected at once,
a harmony of light awakening.

It was a revival of melodies,
of ripe suns rising above fields of rain,
sliding like silk into cavernous folds.
The tantric tongue transmits fire to the brain.

I straddled the mount of magnificence,
splendorous tension to every nerve,
the gravity of gliding into space
upon galaxies of vigor and verve.

Twilight beckoned with such velocity
the atmosphere twinkled with orbs of chrome.
The night sleep's bane, slice of succulent sun,
opens the eyes to a hungering home.

Salacious secrets of the stirring mind
trail the torrent of my thunderous heart,
the quickened pulse beneath tremulous skin,
a wavelength of wonder never to part.

Under the sheet of night, my lover burns
along the shore of my melting body;
and I discover my new religion,
praying that he will never desert me.

oo la la! i'm shaking all over .. i would account it to my age; but this poem sizzles .." the atmosphere twinkled with orbs .." really like that line .. there are others as well .. V1 L2 for me is extaordinary .. did you know that on stringed instruments .. when one string is struck .. it's vibrations diminish so that it is vibrating in two equal parts .. the center point being an octave above the tone .. guitarists dampen the string at that point and it creates "chimes" .. ;) very passionate poem ... it's me B-day .. i am ....old .. but reading puts a fire in this old soul too :) ..on your closing verse .. i would dissuade young damsel from making such a huge leap .. but .. who am i .. an old fool who did such a thing once upon a time ..

"complimentary chords plucked from one string.. "

The very line speaking everything what the whisk of heart has to get beaten along. Kinda very fascinating poetry - especially the choice words - you come up with.

"Under the sheet of night, my lover burns
along the shore of my melting body;
and I discover my new religion,
praying that he will never desert me."

Seemed, the night is bare and has bodies utter love behind the lace of love - the love that burns from deep inside and gets evoked with the fire - in flames - of "melt-down" bodies for having spirits complete "melted" ... with.. by the warmth - the pleasure - the raged flames of love. Love's itself a new religion that needs no faith but wants people fully devoted to each others, its religion is itself one desert but still .. makes lovers fearing not to get lost ev'n in the "Desserts" of heart - the heart that's being kaleidoscopic as well as way capricious along the infatuated vibes of engrossing love. Very deep and thoughtful poetry it is that's "romantically" express in few simplistic thou' artistic words. Would be looking forward to reading "you"!

So many views and none dared speak... shame on them all.

All the veils were pretty much in place... but the heat and heart still were there.
