This was a mural of the seasons painted in techicolor and great detail. Personified they become personalized and easily identified with. When ever I think of the seasons they always bring to thought the seasons of life as also portrayed or hinted at here.
Linda, I love how you personify the seasons and nature itself...every word is hand picked to create this beautiful masterpiece of a poem....You manage to find the perfect descriptive, colorful word for each season;"Carpets of color bloom and sway"....."The baked earth of a clay desert"....and much more!
Exquisite poetry!
Best, B
Can I say you haven't read me say more than a hundred smitten times?
Here's something new: "If I live to be a hundred, there will never be a more brilliant poetic composer I've loved, admired, enjoyed, and respected than I have You." And, I may be just a little prejudiced, but I'm convinced many others feel this way.
Having said all that, there's something quite especially soul-touching about this one, in a deeply personal way, only the vibrantly maturing young still alive man in me could precisely understand, even though, the fully mature me can completely relate to and appreciate the more meaningful essences of a similar world we both have lived and breathed through. And, what is most stunning (to me) is how, through the magic of poetry, you've expressed it all in the exact ways I would - that I could.
Each line: Smooth as silk syntax, magically imbued imagery and metaphor, nay a word wasterd, spot-on counts and every rhyme … not a one near. No word, line, or verse could be removed without scarring or diminishing the perfection of the whole. I could pick any line or verse and it would dance and sing unto my soul and heart, but your final two verses flow through my every poetic fiber jussst right!
Love the impeccably perfect artwork and music, too … MMmmm*
Thank you ever-so gratefully, Linda Marie, for another unforgettable sharing of You with Us! ⁓ Richard
A seasonal delight, creatively personified pertaining to Mother=Nature and the appropriately adorned garments she wears with each change of season, these imbibing memories of her striking attire ever etched into the heart of this young, admiring person, impressed so that this magnum-opus of a poem was destined to be birthed from their pen ...
You have admirably given each season its due.
Winter did not, in my estimation, fare as well as all the others but that could be because I am not a winter fan and this winter has been long and frustrating
Enjoyable read throughout
Life is lived in seasons. So undeniably true! Ask someone about a memory that took place in their lives, and they'll answer you by acknowledging the season that it happened in. I couldn't pick a favorite season here if I wanted to. They are each dynamic and articulately brought to life by the stroke of your genius! So beautiful! So unforgettable!

Each season writes it's own story as well with fragrances and scenery. These moments, the change of seasons, nature, everyone has a story, I have mine and you have yours and it seems, stories we share through poetry. A very beautiful thought weaves its way through this. Wonderfully written my friend.

Thank you so much. I am always eager to know your thoughts.
Poetry has been my passion since I was about fifteen years old, and I love the structure of rhyme and meter moreso than just randomly throwing words upon a page without any form whatsoever.
