Cliche!

Cliche!

A Poem by Linear
"

Bored was all

"
Cliche Cliche
A little like olay olay
on roads of common ground I write
Seeking that line, that single marvelous line
that no one wrote before.

Cliche Cliche
Platitudes grey
(do they have a colour)
Silver bows on golden saphire trays
trinkets with muskets and saltpeter

Cliche Cliche
The boy stood on the burning deck
no he wasnt playing cricket
(why not)
because, I guess he was flaming well full of rickets

Cliche Cliche
All the words have been used
each sentence over used
the paragraphs scream of syntax lost
and as for me

I'm off to have my tea!!!

Your writing never ceases to impress my friend ( that's cliche , right? )
This is an incredible piece reflective of a writer full of wit.

'Cliche Cliche
Platitudes grey
(do they have a colour)
Silver bows on golden saphire
trays
trinkets with muskets and
saltpeter...'

What more can I say? (It will all be cliche anyway. Lol.). Keep them coming!!

So often have I wondered Why you hold it so close Like broken shards of glass Close to your heart.

Does it cut deep? How is it you bear the pain, while laughing ? Yet I see the hidden tears.

Do you pray for absolution, while on sore knees? Or maybe the anger you hold so dear keeps you warm throughout the night.

The tattooed heart will bleed No palpitating pulse will sanctify the cry Of such a bitter and lasting hate.

Can't you see the time for redemption is quickly running out. Hold out your hands Forgiveness is the gift of the powerful....be blessed.....most of all be rich.

haahahaha! That's amazing! Love it... god, don't we struggle against that six-letter word.
EXCELLENT and un-clichéd poem.

I like the randomness of this poem trying to get the point across of writing the line that on one else has wrote. It is so true what we try to achieve sometimes. I write simply to get out my emotions and to paint pictures with words. This paints many scenes.

A great writing I enjoyed it. I loke how the color makes it more intense.

funny and insightful, cliches are what most writers attempt to stay away from but somehow we go back to them as a point of relation and common connection we all share - nothing new under the sun - just our life perceptions wired in our uniquely mixed dna coded mind...
