Ribbons

Ribbons

A Poem by Linear
"

Who can tell the hearts condition

"
Ribbons float on the wind
Furl and flutter high, twisting, turning flying
Yet grass stains remain

Ribbons twirl up to the clouds of cumulus
Hovering banners swooping
Still the blades have left their mark

Ribbons falling reflecting light
Tumble down to hit the ground
Morning dew has left its due upon my seat

Ribbons lying in trodden mud
Ribbons hope trampled left where they may
Green was the grass turned to brown leaving a stain upon my frame

Looking deeper into the ribbon; I see them tied to relationships - sometimes the ribbons fly away and set us free; while other ribbons have strings attached we don't see - a garden of ribbons it feels like...sown to be set free or withered without care.

I feel some metaphors in this as it pulls me in I also feel some sadness come across. In a way it's beautiful as well. Well done & expressed....xo
