Confessions

Confessions

A Poem by Linear
"

Not a clue, just a ramble

"
Pain
Heartache and loneliness
Shattered dreams
That bleed away on solo winds

Colours ripple
Through midnight reds
Cloudy dreams
Out of place

Tread patterns
On my face
No longer seem out of place
Lost in silent windmills
Sail
Seemingly born to fail

Promises given
Not meant to be kept
All part of the game
But I no longer slept

Dripping icicles on the floor
Burst into
Confessions
Without regrets

Pointed shards
Driven
As arrow heads
Leave their mark
Am I dead?

I do confess
With empty head
As I lie upon my bed
Bleeding words upon the wall

Yes I was the comeliest
Of them all
Narrow confines
Tighten grip
Let me loose before I slip

A very powerful piece of darkness and a touch or regret, or maybe resentment. It felt like walking through a bad dream, yet you realize that's its not a dream at all, and your drowning in the reality of it.

The flow was devious, leading you in, then out, then in again. Like a tide on the shore, touching your toes ever so softly, then drifting away, then coming again, only to crash into you and seep away again. leaving you breathless.

Beautiful.

This is a strong piece. Let me loose before i slip. We all want the freedom of our heart to move on and love another. We hate the chains of love that bind us sometimes and in the darkness when it is quiet and still is the time when we feel them the most. I am letting go of my chains before I loose too much time. I am picking up the piece and starting over. This is a deeply moving piece that had me thinking.

That to me, says so much, so much about growing up and letting go of disillusionment. Wonderful write, poignant like your shard.

There is a profound essence that moves in and out of darkness here, dreams and nightmares flowing through the vibrance you create, line by line. Powerfully sung.

I think this is one of my favorites from you… Like Ladysue, I really loved the first stanza, especially the last line of it. Strangely enough, I was toying with an idea similar to that line last night…

The poem has a very lonesome aura to it, and the picture at the end adds to the dark atmosphere. Good job!

PS. Welcome back to WC!
