Fear

Fear

A Poem by Linear
"

A quick poem I wrote for another site, where it was completely ignored

"
In the dawning of our awakenings
When the lights are yet dim
And the sun has not yet arisen from it's slumbers

Eyes red and sore from tears
Dry upon the bed
With a kiss still warm on lips sealed

Worlds collide in shattered shards
And we wish that sleep had won

For each day we face that torment
We still believe is
Lodged deep within our head

But it isn't is it?

I am still thinking about the beauty queen's picture in the other poem where did you find that?

Oh this poem makes me wonder what is causing this fear that has this person up thinking about it so much that they can't sleep. It is more than not being able to sleep because they are facing it daily and seemly helpless in preventing it. Our minds can make it seem not real and we may even go through life like it is a dream but in the end we will have to face it and hopefully deal with it.

Fear is one our base emotions to me we are operating out of love or out of fear and all other emotions come from these two. Wonderful write and can I ask where did you first post this that it got ignored?

I liked it except the last line. I think you could reach deeper to complete it.
