Fear

Fear

A Poem by Linear
"

A quick poem I wrote for another site, where it was completely ignored

"
In the dawning of our awakenings
When the lights are yet dim
And the sun has not yet arisen from it's slumbers

Eyes red and sore from tears
Dry upon the bed
With a kiss still warm on lips sealed

Worlds collide in shattered shards
And we wish that sleep had won

For each day we face that torment
We still believe is
Lodged deep within our head

But it isn't is it?

This poem speaks! It is very powerful and well written!

We wish sleep had won! That line popped out at me because I have been there where I wished sleep had won!! Excellent poem, my friend!

I have known too many awakenings like this... hanging by a thread in thoughtful despair... Your contemplations and questions profoundly stir the ever reaching mind.. (Obviously the other site had no taste!)

I know it's already been pointed out but I'm gonna go ahead and say it anyway:
"Worlds collide in shattered shards
And we wish that sleep had won"
you definitely won me over with that line
though I do agree with Letemdangle about the last line

Do you think on some level, what we fear is simply change? I felt that in your line "Worlds collide..." nice job!
