Chasing Clear Water

Chasing Clear Water

A Poem by Linear
"

Out of body experiance (Or mind)

"
Standing here on the edge
of a precipice
looking down at broken rocks
water never touched

What has my life become
but an ongoing search for a rainbows end
dreams without schemes
plans with little chance

A handful of fairweather friends
that drifted
quickly
when I needed a hand

Clouds rolled in dark and dim
icy needles rained down
piercing my skin
oh those winds blew but what could I do

Where could a man turn where could he look
to seek the peace he wanted so much
standing before him
on steep mountain top

An angel
a woman adorned
with incandescent hair
and eyes of clear water beckoning me there

I took the step
held out my hand
no ground beneath me
but she held my hand

I love the whole flow throughout this poem! IT makes readers forgot all the things around and just deeply absorb by your poem! Amazing job! Also, I love the ending most! Its just so simple, so beautiful! The imagery is great as well!

This just has the lovliest touch...it gives a sense of hope in times of sheer desperation...I love the message here. Thanks for sharing...

It is often when we feel as if we have lost everything, stand without hope, see more darkness than light, we do have an epiphany moment as your describe in your write! Your thoughts of despair, and abandonment are turned to those of hope as you behold your woman adorned with incandescent hair, who took the step and held your hand as your stood with no ground beneath you!.... beautiful expressions of encouragment to others who are in the midst of such a time!
