Understanding

Understanding

A Poem by Linear
"

A never ending search into emotions deep mysteries

"
Understanding
me
is not so easy
not as easy as say being free

Understanding
is
the one thing you said
you needed to take from me

Understanding
I
thought you did
but the knife in your hand bit deep

Understanding
was
all you wanted to do
then you did, and now were through

Understanding
how
you entwined your thoughts
into my sinews, muscles and heart

Understanding
that
we are now somehow far apart
even so you hold my soul

Understanding
I knew nothing at all
that I still love you

Just Not Understanding
is the mystery
that longing inside

These thoughts are certainly special - each stanza is a concentration of ideas and a focal point of attention.

Understanding
me
is not so easy
not as easy as say being free...

I love the musicality of the opening stanza as well as the meaning of the words. Good stuff.

This was pretty strong poem, I liked your format a lot. I think it conveys a good use of emotion and a topic that is easy to relate to. Nice write.

Understanding each other is definitely not easy and it takes empathy as much as anything else...and like Emma said when judgment takes place, too much analysis wrapped in self rather than the other person. Searching to understand is never a bad thing...I thought this was a great write...

Lol why would you say "nothign special here?" I guess this signifies the phenomenon of a writer just blantanly putting words on paper without liking anything being said, and others claim it be great literature! I think this poem, as i interpret it, reflects a bit of soul-searching. Understanding oneself, considering the factor of someone influencing one tremendously, does have an impact on the questioning of "who am i?" A beautiful poem, and I love it, and i sympathize.

I have to disagree with you, there's something very special 'here'!

Beautifully expressed, finely laid out for the reader, real thoughts to mull over, to consider .. not easy.

Understanding another person? Understanding is done through one's own thoughts and considerations, often it's a judgement, too much analysis wrapped in self rather than the other person. Think that's what you're thinking here .. maybe!

Understandin another is indeed complex. How can one at once grasp another's hoistory..and if one is unable to do so how can one understand why another is at the present the way he/she is.
Well expressed.

You did the one thing I absolutely love. Play with one word all day long. You took me on a trip out of this world and I adore you for that. I love when people tickle my brain. Marvelous! Bravo!
