I never left you

I never left you

A Poem by Linear
"

Kind of sad poem of a lost but never forgotten love

"
Do you remember that day when you begged me to stay?
not that I was ever going to leave you
you were so insecure
I never left you.

I remember the very first time I layed eyes on you
your hair was long, and you tried to hide behind it
but your laugh was sweet
your smile lit up the room
I never left you.

We talked
then talked some more, all through so many nights
and our love blossomed
rose up higher than Angels
I never left you.

I remember when we played the violins together
and I was lost in your strings
I wonder if you ever were lost in mine?
from a B Flat to a C Sharp
I was never far from you
and I never left you

But now as I drink my coffee
stare at these bare walls
I wonder where you are tonight
in who's embrace
and do you perhaps ask him, with those same words

"Please dont ever leave me"

I never left you!

Wow! I'm sitting here and am lost for words. Like what would my family think????
Duh! This was so powerful. You have a different way of writing. One I haven't seen before.. I like it! You write with soul, heart, and my Lord, such beautiful music deep with you... I am in awe..

This is still a wounderful poem. It has a lot of truth to the way so many people are in the world and it's quite easy to relate to.

Poignant and bittersweet. I really felt this. I could hear the Violins, and the shared love of the couple playing them together.
Beautiful writing.

This is a mature view of love and loss and even betrayal it reads like. Stunning work.
