Love Lies

Love Lies

A Poem by Linear
"

And why not

"
"Come to me"
thats what you always say
It's what I always do

"Come to me now"
you say
yours eyes sparkling
this time I wont!

"Come to me"
more urgent now
but I dont

"Come to me this instant"
angry eyes flash
a threat
yet I stay

"Please come to me"
softer now
her words turning into silk
still I remain

"O do please come I ache for you"
she pleads
and still I do not come

"This is not a game you know, why do you lie so still"
worry now sets deep within her breast
and still I lay not moving

"Are you Ill my love, please lift yourself"
no movement do I make
no breath escapes my lips
no quivver of finger tips

"Please my dearest one come to me"
at last she comes to me
as she leans over me
I spring
and kiss her lips

A lesson so sweet she may never need again
for if she wishes me to come
she must

Wish again

Looks like the yo-yo, has been played. Too bad her string is all stretched out, only coming back when you decide she deserved to be rewound.. Good stuff my friend!
