The Shadow Wraiths Waltz

The Shadow Wraiths Waltz

A Poem by Linear

Looking out of this window

as lonely clouds roll by

grey and cold in early morning mist

I watch, I wait, I yearn.

Through twisted and tangled emotions

memories of long ago

when the world and I were young

When blood pounded through me as turbulent waters in flood

and you held the knife that took my life

with a twinkle in your eye, and a smile on your lips

you watched

laughed

as i died

But now you lie with another lover

and i'm but a shadow wraith

waiting, watching for that fatal mistake

Do you feel me now as I enter you?

as ice flows through your veins

leading to your heart

Will you join me now

in this dance?

for as you have sown, so shall you reap

Lets dance this

Shadow Wraiths Waltz

I waited, I watched and I earned.

A really creepy feel to this but oh so true and grounded in reality. You give your life and it takes so much to get it back, only to find out that you still don't have it, you have only rented it for a while to make you feel regular again. At some point though....we have to pull the rug out from under that shadow and return it to its rightful place. Nice stuff here my friend.

Dark poetry- it has it's own beauty. This poem has that beauty.
I like the last verse.. wise words on sown and reap .. a very good write though dark and dreary .. once upon a midnight..

Anyone who has watched and felt love die will relate to these words. It takes a lot of effort to dig yourself out of this particular grave.

Definitely eerie, artful words paint a love grotesque. Your images are haunting, disturbing; they should give pause to anyone considering taking the life of another;
for Shadows have infinite patience as they turn the millstones of the gods until vengance is ground fine.

The emotions and imagery used were very good. It was simple yet cold and deep all at once. It has that great sense of satisfaction to it in the end.

Adore the title here!
Seems we can nurture so much as even if it hurts and fades in our arms! Excellent!
