Human in Being

Human in Being

A Poem by Linear
"

Peace in any time

"

So what happened

to your brotherhood of man?

When i see the streets

running with blood

And tell if you can

where is the peace you promised

your fellow man?

All i see is hatred

born of greed

So hold out your hands

see them red

see your children shaking in bed

Where will you go

who will you blame

for you must see your all just the same

You cry out for peace while holding a gun

your killing and killing

in your Gods name

Why cant you learn

stop acting like sheep

being led to the slaughter

Your such foolish toys

please start over again

question those orders and stand up like men

Lets all be human

and love

once

again.

the structure keeps the message strong, and i feel your conviction, just need to make the prose more unique.

this is something that haunts me... what does being human really mean? does it mean to be a sentient being, able to rise to the occasion and lend a hand... or is the constant violence, hatred and ignorance the true image of our species?.. I hope not.

Love this write. I completely agree with the message. I love the flow and the rhyme of the poem too.

. ah, brilliant and much needed in these times ... (i read the al qaeda training manual once on a cia web site and was shocked at the degree and intensity of hatred that is perpetuated) ...

This is very rhythmic while stating a good theme at the same time. It reminds me a lot of Rage Against the Machine; not sure why.
