The Shadows of my Mind

The Shadows of my Mind

A Poem by Linear
"

A little spooky

"

In the tight stringent alleyways of my mind

dark deep pockets lie

Creeping the shadows crawl upon my very wall

Enclosed within my chest

heart beats thud against my breast

Dilated pupils stare

as ghostly spectrals glare

Turn Turn Turn

as panic strikes deep

Run Run Run

Screaming i awake, sweating from my sleep

Panting, chest heaving

I notice

the Shadows crafty grin

vanishing from my wall.

I got chills from this. The feeling of this writing is deep and darkly chilling. Very well done.

Those nasty shadows haunt most of us. Only good part we will awake and try to forget the bad thoughts and dreams. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Yes a little spooky, but also highly Intriguing - we all have darker sides and this is expressed in a very clever way. '
I notice
the Shadows crafty grin
vanishing from my wall'. - brilliant words, with the border between waking and dreams, sanity and insanity blurring and overlapping till you no longer know where the border is, or if there is one at all.

spooky is right. i remember being spooked by the shadows in my room when i was like 6 or 7. to me the wallpaper of my room at the time sure looked like several armies of terrifying robots marching upon me if i stared hard enough. lol
your poem sure reminded me of those. creepy work!
