All You Can Be

All You Can Be

A Poem by Linear

In those narrow corridors of your mind
In the dark recesses of frozen time

Did you once think you would be mine?

On all fours you crawl before me,
do you think thats how it should be?

Stand up
Dont lean on me
Hold your head high

For you may see, you are far greater than me.

I find the format fitting for your poem.
This is well written. Makes me think of someone who feels they are not worthy of the person's love so they grovel.
I like these lines

"In those narrow corridors of your mind
In the dark recesses of frozen time

Did you once think you would be mine?"

Sometimes I'll write a piece that, like what we have here, is little more than an ephemeral musing. I call these types of poems Napkin Poetry. It's a real challenge to see how much we can fit into such a limited space. This poem is a decent ,albeit a bit lackluster effort.

Excellent poem.

I loved this. So powerful and beautifully written. The last line just says it all, how selfless true love can be. It's always nice to know there will be someone to lean on but you should be strong enough to stand by yourself. Brilliant poem.

You create an atmosphere of love and life here... knowing one's worth.. dreaming beyond borders.. So beautifully expressed.

I like this short poem a lot. We never know what someone really feels.
"Stand up
Dont lean on me
Hold your head high "
We live in a world where few people really open up and speak the truth. Last line is very good. A excellent poem. Thank you.
